Seattle Sound are a NSW Covers Band who formed in 1996 after realising that they could deliver the music influenced by the grunge explosion of the 90's coming out of Seattle. Unlike the many other Cover Bands that were around at the same time, Seattle Sound are the only surviving show from that period. They have proven themselves by their “repeatedly breaking” Attendance and Bartaking records, which they still, 7 years on, continue to do at venues where they constantly provide audiences with full on live performances that keep fans coming back!
Seattle Sound consists of 5 very talented muso’s who not only play music from Seattle, but music that has been influenced by that period. The guys are continually updating their Set List as to add in much requested Bands of today, i.e. FUEL, CREED, LIFEHOUSE, NICKLEBACK,LIVE,PUDDLE OF MUD,FOO FIGHTERS,INCUBUS and of course a liberal dosage of PEARL JAM,NIRVANA,ALICE IN CHAINS,& SOUNDGARDEN.

Ross Hamilton (vocals, guitar, mandolin, five string banjo) has been performing around the live venues of Sydney and Melbourne as vocalist, instrumentalist and entertainer for a number of years in various incarnations. Most recently he has been able to realise a life-long dream and include his daughter Emma and son Thomas into “Stringybark”, to create the basis of an exciting new lineup.
Emma HamiltonEmma Hamilton (vocals, piano, piano accordion) Twenty one year old Emma is already a show business veteran, having started piano lessons at age four, performing for seven years with brother Thomas in the original band “The Hamiltons”, where she co-writes and records with Thomas, and working as both a freelance musician and also as a solo entertainer in the piano lounges of some of Sydney’s most elegant hotels. With influences as diverse as country, Irish, classical, pop and of course jazz, Emma’s luscious warm vocals and dynamic piano chops are a mainstay of “Stringybark”.
Thomas HamiltonThomas Hamilton (drums, keyboards, bass, vocals) Nineteen year old brother of Emma, he too is an industry veteran with co-songwriting credits, CD recordings, television appearances and many stage hours in both “The Hamiltons” and also “Stringybark”. His driving rhythms and tasteful interpretations of all styles of music are a large part of the band’s fresh approach.
John KnightJohn Knight (guitars) Twenty four year old guitarist, John is the current Capital Country Music Association Guitar Champion and has been playing since childhood. His devotion to the instrument is demonstrated in both his many fine recordings as lead guitarist with “The Hamiltons” and also in his live performances with “Stringybark”. His ability to move from toe-tapping Celtic and bluegrass tunes, to hot swinging jazz, to foot-stomping country, to searing rock, is uncanny and a key component of “Stringybark’s” sound.
