Irish Band Live In The Woolshed
Back in the early ninties, The Saw Doctors were Number One in Ireland with Hay Wrap, N17 and I Useta Lover which still holds the record for the biggest selling Irish single. The bands first album, If This Is Rock & Roll, I Want My Old Job Back” was Number One in Ireland for most of 1991.
The Saw Doctors were discovered in the back room of the Quays Pub in Galway in 1988 by Mike Scott of The Waterboys who was recording The Fishermans’ Blues album in nearby Spiddal. Mike Scott asked The Saw Doctors to open for The Waterboys’ on the Fisherman’s Blues tour of the UK and Ireland in the Autumn of 1988 and produced their first single, N17.

Live in the Woolshed
Join us at the Mean Fiddler for this special St. Patrick’s Day performance by Australia’s No 1 Irish Entertainer Damien Leith.
The Irish-born troubadour’s career went stratospheric when he appeared on, and subsequently won, the 2006 edition of Australian Idol. Along the way, Leith’s touching songs have captured millions of hearts and multiple platinum awards.
It’s been six years since he left his homeland, but Leith is feeling right at home in Australia. And it shows in his music, which has grown up and matured quite like this happily married father-of-two. It’s a body of work whose underlying theme studies the highs and lows of life.
Call Box Office or visit thefid.com.au to reserve your seat, to witness this amazing performer, live in the Woolshed.
Tickets are $40 and are limited, so hurry!

Featuring - The Only
Ministry of Sound Electro House Sessions in the sub bar 19th March 2010 Featuring THE ONLY
After an 18 month hiatus, the favored genre of club kids Australia wide makes a massive comeback on the Ministry of Sound roster. With two previously successful releases in the series, a legion of Electro House Sessions fans were gagging for the next installment – so here it is, served up to you by one of the scene’s most prominent international DJ / Producers Klaas & upcoming local stars The Only.
There’s loads more to this superhero story, but lets keep this on a need to know basis…?The Only, in addition to being opinionated, mouthy and ego fuelled, has also managed to record some tracks, develop and tour a live show and for the most part maintain their secret identities. Bursting onto the scene In the last 12 months, The Only have released their debut single ‘Dancin’ , remixed Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden, Mighty Fools, Chelley, Cyberpunkers, Tyken and more. Toured their “Only F*cking Rave Party” across the country, including taking the stage to a 7,000 strong crowd alongside The Bloody Beetroots & Crookers at Foreshore Festival, rocking club shows at Villa in Perth, Family in Brisbane, HQ in Adelaide + more all before rolling out NYE in Sydney at Chinese Laundry and Field Day on NYD. They are The Only. And they’re kind of a big deal.

With Garry Eck & Chris Radburn (MC)
Comedy Circuit @ The Mean Fiddler is the premier monthly Comedy Venue in the Northwest. The fantastic comedy night continues in March with a hilarious night of comedy.
Headlining the evening is Australia's larrikin MICK MEREDITH "As soon on The Footy Show".With over a dozen appearances on national television including the Footy Show, Morning with Kerri-Anne and Joker Poker, Mick has certainly made his mark or indentation on the comedy world.
In Mick's youth he has confessed to being a class clown who always dreamed of becoming a rock star or comedian, so with no too much thought he combined the both into the Mick Meredith rockin' comedy buffet we see today.
Either playing guitar, singing or just holding a microphone Mick's razor sharp but loveable wit will have you laughing from start to finish with a bit of head banging and toe tapping in between.
Mick will be supported by Gary Eck. Gary is currently directing Happy Feet 2 and has been seen in the feature movie Boytown.
The MC for the evening is Chris Radburn as seen on The Footy Show.
A sensational night of comedy.
